On March 24th, 2023 surrounded by family, Allen Francis Sr. met
his father in heaven. He was born August 29th, 1937 in Queens, New York to Frank and Helen Vojir. In fifth grade, he met his sweet heart and
life time companion, Elaine Gress. They married in 1957 and remained so
for 65 years until his death. He enlisted in the Navy as a Seabee in 1956 where he was stationed in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia. In 1973, He, Elaine and their three children moved to Southern Florida.
A hardworking individual, Al would always make sure his family was
provided for. He founded Southern Industries, a small business that was vital to the installation of conveyor systems and repair of the boarding bridges; ensuring the safety of passengers during the construction of the RSW Airport. He was an avid automobile enthusiast, which influenced the creation of a family run machine shop in 1986.
He was exceptionally great to his grandchildren and would take them on family road trips every year to see the sites of the Grand Canyon, Myrtle Beach, the statue of liberty and Colonial Williamsburg. His humor and quick wit was instilled in the minds of his family and will continue to spread among later generations. He will be missed beyond measure.
Proceeded in death by his son Russell Vojir (Aaron). He is survived by his wife, Elaine Vojir, his children Allen Vojir Jr. (Wendy), and Jacquelaine Brennan (Martin). His grandchildren, Amanda Vojir, Michael Brennan (Karena), Kristen Lefever (Evan), Allisun Vojir (Matthew)
and his great-grandchildren, Brody, Karson, Channing, Jaxson,
