Betty Lou Hardy passed away September 6, 2010 at her home in Wickenburg. She was born February 25, 1925 in Orcutt, California to Ray Flagg and Hattie Correll Flagg. She was raised in Santa Maria, attended Alan Hancock College and graduated with a degree in accounting. She married Ted Hardy in 1945 while he was serving in the military. They made their home in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara. Betty worked as an accountant at the University of California at Santa Barbara. In 1969 she took a trip to the Grand Canyon and fell in love with the area and she stayed. She later moved to Wickenburg and worked as Town Clerk until she retired in 1985. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray Flagg and Hattie Correll Flagg,and a sister Carrie Brower. Betty is survived by son Mark Hardy of Willmington, Vermont, daughters Sally Correll of Marina, California, Kay Biller (Bruce) of Walnut, California and nephew Tim Brower(Cindi). Grand children: Jerry Rouse (Janet), Kathy Naptui (Glen), Brian Correll, Stephanie Zumbruski (Jeremy), Robbie Hardy, Tyler Hardy, Petria Gonzales (Rich), Carrie Biller. 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Family services will be held at a later date. The family suggests any memorial contributions in Betty's memory be made to Hospice of the Valley at 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014
