Bill F. Vance, age 65, passed away at his home in Wickenburg May 21, 2012. Bill was born August 10, 1946 in Clinton, Kentucky to William E. Vance and Frances (Berry) Vance. Bill attended schools in Wood River, Il and later in Iuka, Il. Following his schooling he married Elsie Woodward August 15, 1965 in Iuka, he later served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. Upon completion of his military service Bill returned to Illinois and began working in Carpentry primarily in residential construction and some commercial construction. Bill and Elsie came to Arizona in 1986 settling in Wickenburg. He began working an independent distribution route with Holsum Bread Company which he did for 18 years. He later worked with his son Kelly at Vance Appliance here in Wickenburg. Bill was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and also the American Legion Kellis-Draper Post #12 as well as a former member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing poker and was an avid Phoenix Cardinal fan. Bill is survived by his wife Elsie of Wickenburg and step-father George Blank of Salem, Il, children Kelly Vance of Wickenburg and Crystal (Nate) Seets of Chino Valley, brother Cecil (Frances) Choate of Harlington, Tx and sisters Katie (Bob) Dodson of Paducah, Kentucky and grandchildren Kira and Hawken Seets. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, May 27th at 1:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wickenburg.
