Billy Ronald Williams, age 77, passed away March 25, 2013 at his home in Wickenburg, Arizona. Billy was born October 25, 1935 in Las Vegas, NV to George & Ida Mae Williams. He was raised between Nevada and Arizona as his father worked on power line construction. Following high school Billy served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War where he worked as a jet mechanic. Following his military service he returned and began working as an ironworker and was a member of the Ironworkers Local 54 working in California, Washington, Oregon, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada and Arizona. Billy retired for health reasons in 1980 and began operating a gun shop and gunsmithing during that time he served as a deputy sheriff in Durango, Colorado and even owned and operated a restaurant and bar. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Billy was preceded in death by his parents George and Ida Mae. He is survived by his wife Peggie of Wickenburg, son Ronald David Williams of Bejing, China and daughters Carrie Ann Williams-Woodbury of Nevada and Ressa Williams-Lowell of Texas and brother Melvin (Linda) Williams of Las Vegas,Nevada. Billy has three grandchildren: Billy Williams, Kent Williams, and Caitlin Lowell. Billy is also survived his niece Pamela, and nephews Russell and Mason Williams. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
