Carmen M. Gacia was born July 16, 1911 in Agua Caliente, Arizona to Elauterio Molina and Francisca Salazar Molina. She attended elementary school in Morristown and graduated from high school in Wickenburg in 1929. She married Rudolfo Garcia and they made their home in Wickenburg and began their family. Carmen was a mother and homemaker most of her life and her family was the most important thing in her life. She was a good cook and everyone loved her banana-nut bread and she enjoyed sewing and crocheting and made infant sets for most of the grandchildren and family. Carmen loved politics and was very involved and informed on the current events. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by son Rudy Echeverria in 1978 and daughter Marcie Meyer in 2006. She is survived by children: Robert Garcia (Ann) of Tucson, Barbara Portugal of Omaha, Nebraska, Carolea Saenz (Frank) of Phoenix, Joseph Christopher of Colorado. Twenty-four grandchildren and fifty-nine great-grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren.
