Charlene Cole Swift passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Charlene was born June 1, 1936 in Pampa, Texas. She was united in marriage to Phillip Swift in June of 1984. They moved to Wickenburg in 1987 where she worked in the banking industry and then taught at the Christian Academy until her retirement at 78 years old. She was a homemaker extraordinaire, a loving wife and a wonderful mother to her three children. She was a selfless, faithful Christian woman who served others her entire life. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Charles Phillip Swift, her daughter Darlene James (Jim), sons Derek Cole and Darren Cole (Rae Lynn), sisters Billie Johnson and Eula Degenstein (Corey), her brother Earl Saxon (Claire Saxon), granddaughters Cortney Lee Hall (Steven) and Summer Walters (Ryan), great-granddaughter Leah and great-grandson Oliver, and numerous nieces and nephews and loving daughter-in-law/caregiver Jennifer Boyd (Jeremiah).
A private family service was held at the National Veteran's Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona on Friday, April 16, 2021.
