Charles William Heatherly, age 80, passed away September 18, 2013 in Sun City, Arizona. "Chuck" as he was known to family and friends was born June 23, 1933 in Jerome, Arizona to Clarence W. Heatherly and Lucile Sells Heatherly. He was raised in the Cottonwood area and attended schools there. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy following his schooling and served from 1951 to 1954. He married Jo Ann Leger during that time and following his military service they lived briefly in Rhode Island. They returned to Arizona where he began working for Carnation Foods in the Dairy division later moving to California where he worked with Luckys Stores and also Crystal Cream & Butter prior to his retirement in 1997. He and Jo Ann moved back to Arizona in 2003 settling in Aguila. He enjoyed airplanes and living on the Air Park in Aguila. Chuck in survived by his wife Jo Ann of Aguila and children: Kevin (Donna) Heatherly of Alaska, Diane (Howard) Alexander of Washington, Jami Garrett of Oregon, David Heatherly of Flagstaff, Az, Mark Heatherly of Oregon and Robert (Jenifer) Heatherly of California, sister Ollie Croce of California and grandchildren: Michael, Ian & Sean Heatherly, Linnea Weideman, Heather Wright, Erin Wright, Anthony Heatherly, Jessica Heatherly, Ariana Heatherly and Samar Heatherly as well as 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother John Heatherly. No formal services are planned at this time.
