Charles Hill

Charles William Hill (known to friends and family as Chuck or Charlie and in his later years as Poppy and Carlos), age 70, passed away May 21, 2014 at his home in Wickenburg, Arizona. He was born September 16, 1943 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Harry Lee Hill and Thelma Grizzell-Hill. Chuck attended schools in Kansas and soon after finishing school the Hill family moved to Southern California. Following his schooling he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps serving from 1964 to 1969. Following his military service he returned home to Southern California where he began working in the aerospace industry as a machinist. He married Joyce Junkans and they made their home in Orange, CA. Chuck later moved to Arizona in the early 90's living in various locations, finally settling in Wickenburg in 2010. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Chuck was a member of the American Legion Post #12 in Wickenburg, AZ and considered his friends there as his second family. He is survived by his daughters Teri (Steven) Barnhart of Laguna Niguel, CA and Stephanie (Joseph) Hill-Harris of Bellevue, WA, a brother Larry (Carlas) Hill of Porterville, CA, sisters Patty Givens of Downey, CA, and Barbara Jennings of Placentia, CA, and grandchildren Montanah and Teagan Barnhart and Zoe Harris. He was a kind and generous man who was loved and will be missed.
