Charles D. Pierce, II was born August 3, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts to Charles D. & Florence Abigail (Luce) Pierce. He was raised in the Fitchburg area and attended schools there he later enlisted in the U.S. Army. Following his military service he returned to Massachusetts. He always enjoyed riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and rode from Massachusetts to Arizona in the 1950's. He loved Arizona and moved the family to Arizona in 1960 settling first in the Lake Pleasant area and then Phoenix. When he retired he moved to Congress to pursue prospecting in the Congress/Stanton area. He loved the outdoors and always commented on his "Million Dollar View" where he lived. He is survived by children: Charles D. Pierce,III of Congress, Norma Bakken of Glendale, Michael Hoyt of Mesa, and Sandra Brown of Phoenix, sister Mary Lou Mohundro of Missouri and grandchildren: Christy Brown, Amanda Smith, Misty Daughters, Christopher Bellegante, Christian Hoyt, Erica Hoyt and great-grandchildren: Hunter Bellegante, Riley Johnstone, Casandra Johnstone, Caleb Smith, Casey Jane Smith, Devon Daughters and Floyd R. Daughters,III. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 yrs, Jane B.Pierce, 5 brothers and sisters and a grandson Sean D. Pierce.
