Daniel Jeffrey Conly, age 65, passed away March 11, 2012 in Sun City West, Az. He was a longtime resident and businessman in Wickenburg, Owner of Danny's Jewelry. Much-loved husband of Claudia and father of Ian and Stephen, died on Sunday morning. Dan had four grandchildren - Alex, Brandon, Abigail, and Nicholas. Dan was born in Indianapolis on Sept. 8, 1946. He has two sisters, Sally Conly (husband John) and Emily Conly; and three brothers Michael Conly (wife Elaine) of Indianapolis, Tim Conly of Cottonwood, and Frank Conly of Nashville, Ind. Dan was an Eagle Scout. He attended Indiana University and then joined the Marine Corps Reserve in 1965. He married Claudia in 1968, and they noved to Arizona in 1972 to operate the KOA Campground in Circle City. Dan began making jewelry as a hobby on the kitchen table and found he had an aptitude for it as well as a love of being creative. Dan loved motorcycle riding. He was a former past master of the Masonic Lodge. He was a Pop Warner football coach and a Boy Scout master. He served on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and on the Town Council. He enjoyed 15 years riding with the Desert Caballeros. Dan was a religious man who loved to study theology, and he sang in the choir. He was a Stephen Minister and tried to help others. He was a regular at the Fitness Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg.
