David Emmett Ellington, age 88, passed away September 5, 2011 at his home in Wickenburg, Arizona. He was born June 11, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to David & Gertrude Ellington. David enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at an early age and served from June 3, 1940 to September 26, 1945. Follow his military service he married Dolores Hohm on Septmeber 10, 1949. He worked as a Sales Engineer in heating and air conditioning in the Phoenix area. David was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his son David James in 1950. He is survived by his wife Dolores of Wickenburg, children: David Joseph Ellington of Phoenix, Linda (John) Skartvedt of Wickenburg, Debbie (Len) Albright of Carefree, Jim Ellington of Camp Verde, Thomas (Karen) Ellington of Laveen, Charda (Brent) Lively of Las Vegas, NV. 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass with military honors will be said on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 232 N. Tegner in Wickenburg.
