Denis E. Weeding, 77, of Gillette, Wyoming, went to be with the Lord Dec. 4, 2016 from complications stemming from a surgery. He was born Nov. 27, 1939 in Chicago, Illnois, the son of the late Gladys and Ed Weeding. He is the middle child of three. In 1958 he married Sharon Holland and had three sons resulting from that marriage. They divorced in 1975 and he married the love of his life in 1978, JoAnne (Anderson) Weeding. Denis ran his own construction company in Morris, Minnesota for many years before moving to Gillette, Wyoming in 1980. He was employed by Daniels Construction while they built Bucksin Coal Company. When Buckskin Coal Company was completed he worked for them until the time of his retirement.
In the summer Denis could be found at Keyhole Lake relaxing with family and friends. He was always amused by watching people try to back their boat trailers into the water snickering while they swerved back and forth. In the winter Denis and JoAnne resided into Wickenburg, Arizona enjoying life as "Snowbirds."
Denis is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne and children, Dan Weeding (Sherry), Cary Alleman (Donnie) and Jenny Kennedy Chatfield (Todd) all of Gillette, Wyoming, David Weeding (Shirley) of Halstad, Minnesota and Debbie Pendergrass (Bryan) of Billings, Montana. One brother Stan Weeding (Shirley) and one sister Connie Smith.
21 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Denis was preceded in death by his parents, one son Mike Weeding and one step son Thomas Kennedy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
