Diana Abner was born on February 13, 1939 in Beach Grove, Indiana. She was the oldest of six children: Ralph Surber, Ronald Surber, Marian Surber, Debi Surber, and Dana Surber. She is survived by a son and daughter, James Abner and Geneta Campbell, and four grandchildren: Destini, Chelsea, Tommi, and Kristi Lee. Diana spent her youth in a small area of Indianapolis called Sunshine Gardens, and later graduated from Southport High School. Although Diana pursued various careers in her life, the one she loved the most and was most proud of were the years she spent as an E.M.T. for the Decatur Fire Department. Diana loved Arizona. She loved the hills and mountains and enjoyed a little mining every now and then. She enjoyed the antics of animals in their own natural habitats, and especially loved WIckenburg for the amount of wild animals she could observe from her own patio. Diana's sense of humor was something to be reckoned with; those who knew her well will miss her laughter and her joy of the simple things in life.
