Dolores Glenne Hershkowitz, age 79, passed away December 18, 2012 in Phoenix, Az. She was born March 13, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Victor and Viola Temerowski. Dolores was raised in Hamtramck, Michigan and attended schools there. Following her schooling she began working at a summer resort which she enjoyed and in 1953 came to Wickenburg, Arizona to work on a "Dude Ranch" and met Junior Hershkowitz and they were married in 1954 making their home in Wickenburg. Dolores was a homemaker and a mother and later began working in Medical Records at Wickenburg Hospital. She eventually became the Director of Medical Records which she had done until retiring in 1989. She had an ability to manage and control billing and records in a very effective and cost saving manner for the hospitals. She also had worked at Boswell and Del E. Webb Hospitals. Dolores enjoyed bowling and was a former member of Soroptimists International. She loved to travel which she had the opportunity to visit South America, China, Egypt, Greece, Jerusalem, Scandinavia, Russia, Europe, the Vatican and Spain. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Junior" in 1987 and son Willie in 2006 as well as brothers Walter and Howard Temerowski. She is survived by children: Susan Hershkowitz and Eric Vicioso of Newark, NJ, Nancy Whetter of Litchfield Park, AZ, Frank Hershkowitz and Larry (Carrisa) Hershkowitz both of Wickenburg and brothers Earl (Godela) Temerowski of Wickenburg, Clarence (Ann) Temerowski, Richard Temerowski, Robert (Marcia) Temerowski, and sister Barbara (Ron) Anikewich, all of Michigan; 12 grandchildren: Drew (Tara), Jacob, Chase, Broc, and Mariah Whetter; Frankie Lynn Hershkowitz, Sammie Jo (James) Hone and Toni (Courtney) Zimmerman; Cheyenne, Jeorge and Jimmy Hershkowitz and Olivia Vicioso; 10 great-grandchildren: Braiden, Mayli Drew, Nicholas, Gabriella, Carson, Jaxson, Austin, Connor, Caleb and Junior. Sisters-in-law: Shirley Wachter, Shirley Hershkowitz, Lisa Hershkowitz and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joyce and Larry Fields. Rosary will be said on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Wickenburg Funeral Home and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with interment to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
