Funeral services for Donna B. Booth, age 74, who passed away February 2, 2012 at home in Wickenburg surrounded by family were held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Wickenburg Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, February 5th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Interment followed on Monday at 2:00 PM in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Donna was born April 13, 1937 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Lewis C. Skersick and Aola B. Mentzer-Skersick. The family moved to California while Donna was a child. She graduated from Downey High School with the Class of 1955 and later married Edwin Booth in 1956 when he returned home from the service. They made their home in Long Beach where Donna began working for the Bechtel Corporation as a secretary. She was a mother and homemaker raising children, Gayle and Troy. She later worked for the Huntington Beach High School until retiring. While living in California she was active in Girl Scouting serving as a leader for years. She was also a member of the Fountain Valley Women's Club. Donna and Edwin came to Wickenburg off and on for some time before moving here permanently in 2001. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg. She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Skersick and a sister Linda Kellison. Donna is survived by her husband, Edwin of Wickenburg and children Gayle Walkup and Troy Booth both of Apache Junction, Az. brother and sister in law Bill & Gail Skersick of Downey, CA, and grandchildren: Mariah (Brandon) Walkup-Gilgert of Gilbert, Az., Christopher Booth of Canoga Park, Ca., and Jake Butcher of Thousand Oaks, Ca., great-grandchildren: Austen Walkup and Hunter Gilgert.
