George Lee Dean, age 64, passed away at his home in Salome, Az on June 3, 2021. George was born July 22, 1956 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky to George & Betty Dean. He was raised in Radcliff, KY and attended schools there. He graduated from Hardin High School in 1974. He later married Judy Klaywell and he began working in a local Sporting Goods Store. He and Judy had a son Keenan and they later divorced. George moved to Richmond and pursued his education attending Eastern Kentucky University earning a Bachelor's Degree. He moved to Arizona accepting a position with Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He met Gloria Palma and they were married in 1997. He also earned a Master's Degree while working at the University. George later worked in Holbrook, Arizona at Northland Pioneer College. In the year 2000 he and Gloria moved to Salome where he became the district administrator for Salome Consolidated Elementary School District. George taught as well as worked in school administration. He became a member of the McMullen Valley Fire District and in 2005 received his fire fighter certification. George also assisted his wife Gloria in coaching sports at the school, Volleyball and Softball which he enjoyed working with the youth. George was preceded in death by his parents and he is survived by his wife Gloria of Salome and son Keenan ( Jackie ) and grandchildren: Kamryn and Kyler as well as brother William Ray Dean of Rineyville, Kentucky and a sister Enola Gail (Robert) Koberman of Radcliff, KY and step-daughter Destiny (Leonard) Juarez and grandchildren: Isaac, Serena, Marisa, Brenden and Aaron.
