GEORGE GORDON (G.G.) JOHNSON May 20, 1925 - February 8, 2014 George G. Johnson was born May 20, 1925 in Bedford, Indiana to George W. Johnson and Catherine Ehringer Johnson. He attended schools there and served in the United States Navy, discharged as Torpedoman Second Class. In 1946, he married Lucille M. Tincher. They were members of the First Church of God in Bedford, IN where he served as Teacher, Board of Trustees, Song Leader, Choir Director and Capitol Fund Director. He was Rotary Club President and a member of the Lawrence County Rescue Squad. G.G. was an aircraft owner and pilot. He was a draftsman and tool and die engineer, business owner, beloved father, trusted friend and man of God. George and Lucille moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1974. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, his parents, his "Honey Doll" Lucille, and his Grandson, Travis. He is survived by his daughters Pastor Janet Pace (Ray) and Marsha Fish both of Glendale; four grandchildren Marty Webb (Stacey) and Julia Solmes, Jason Fish (Christine) and Brianne Fish; two great-grandchildren Jacob and Sophia Webb, his brother, Robert, of Sun City and his sister, Phyllis Koontz (Raymond), of Normal, IL. Family suggests Memorial contributions in George's memory to Hospice of Arizona at 19820 N. 7th Avenue, Suite 130, Phoenix, AZ 85027. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Glencroft Retirement Center at 8611 N. 67th Ave. Glendale, Az 85302
