Glenn C Taylor was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he lived with his grandparents for 5 years. He then moved to Wellsville, Ohio where his uncle taught him to hunt and fish. As a young man, he worked in the steel mill and pottery mine there. He loved fishing and water skiing on the Ohio River, and once water skied down the Ohio to the Mississippi River and all the way to New Orleans.
Other jobs in his life took him to NASA in Florida, working high tower in the northern states, and drilling rigs in the oceans off Los Angeles, Guatemala, and Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in Canada and in Colorado. During hunting season he also worked as a guide for bear hunters in Colorado.
He worked gold mines in various locations and it was in 1995 when he was sent to work the Gold Button Mine in Arizona that he met the love of his life, Judy Garner. He spent the last 30 years of his life there with her. His passions were always hunting and fishing and rebuilding old boats. One of his favorite memories was of their trip to Alaska where he finally got to catch a King Salmon.
He passed peacefully in his sleep on the morning of January 3, 2025. He is survived by his wife Judy, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His request is to be cremated and set free to continue to wander the world.
