Helen Chatelle

Graveside services for Helen Ruth Chatelle, age 83, who passed away February 19, 2010 in Sun City West, Az. will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25th at 3:00 PM at Morristown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb 24th from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wickenburg Funeral Home. Helen was born in Augusta, Maine to Otto Reeves and Rose Richards Reeves. She attended Schools there and later married Alfred Chatelle July 9, 1946. They came to Arizona in the 1970's settling in Morristown. They have been residents of Morristown for over 32 years. Together they built Western Trails Ranch in Morristown. They have been living in Sun City West for the the last 4 years. Helen was involved in the community and served as a volunteer at the Morristown School where she tutored and worked with the students from grades 1 thru 8. She was awarded a citation from the Morristown Schools for her service for having contributed more time in volunteering than any one person in the history of the school. She loved working with the students and would often see them at the grocery store or other places and kids would always say, "Look mom, there is my teacher" She really enjoyed serving and found it very rewarding. Helen is survived by husband, Alfred of Morristown. Children: Alfred Jr. Chatelle ( Sandra) of Coventry, RI. Linda Picchioni of Bellingham, Mass., Russell Chalettle and Steven Chatelle both of Coventry, RI. Brothers William Reeves of Orford, NH and Roger Reeves of Michigan. Sister Margaret Miller of Lyme, NH. Grandchildren: Jeffery, Michael, Larissa Picchioni and Scott and Jared Chatelle. And 2 great-grandchildren.
