Herschell Dale Wheeler, known to many as Herb, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021, at the age of 85. Herb was born on June 27, 1936 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Claude and Allie Wheeler. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years. He married Carol Smith February 27, 1959 and the two were married 62 years. Together they raised three children, two daughters Barbara Wheeler and Carolyn Murphy and a son Gary.\n\nHerb and Carol raised their family in Parker, AZ for a time and in 1978, Herb moved his family to Wickenburg, AZ The Roping Capital of the World. His passion and love for being a team roper brought him and his family to this little town he loved. \n\nHerb owned and operated Herb's Glass for 42 years in Wickenburg. He enjoyed morning visits with his friends at his shop and most just sitting in front on his bench watching towns people go by. Retirement was just not in his eyes.\n\nHerb was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be profoundly missed by his family and all who knew him. It bring his family great peace to know that he is now at home in Heaven reunited with his son Gary.\n\nHerb was preceded in death by his son Gary and brother Chuck. His is survived by his wife Carol and two daughters Barbara Wheeler and Brian Beretta, Carolyn and husband Kevin Murphy. Granddaughter Lauren Murphy, two grandsons Tyler Murphy and fiance Hanna Willis, Sheldon and Courtney Murphy and two great-grandsons Wesley and Kye.\n\nA Celebration of Life is planned for January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Coffinger Park Recreation Center 175 E. Swilling Ave.
