James W. Dalton born Dec. 15, 1931 in Goldthwaite, Texas passed away June 18, 2010 Salome, Arizona. Moved to Coolidge, Az at the age of 3 and later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Married Pauline Nichols Oct. 23, 1954. They came to Salome in 1970 where James began farming. He worked as a foreman with Hunter Farms and later with La Paz County retiring in 1993. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3708 and enjoyed his afternoon coffee group at Salome Restaurant. He was an avid hunter and motorcycle enthusiast. He considered family most important in life and really enjoyed his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents and 3 brothers and 7 sisters. James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pauline. And daughters Kimberly Hancock of Salome, and Tonya Griffith of Phoenix. Grandsons Brian Hancock (Elizabeth), Jeffery Hancock (Lily) granddaughter Felicia Griffith and great-grandson Jacob Jeffery Hancock all of Salome.
