James "Butch" Johnson & Diane Johnson Diane Johnson, age 66, passed away March 16, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona. Diane was born March 16, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona to Lloyd Glen Blanton and Dortha Perkins Blanton. She was raised Sedona and attended schools in Jerome and later attended Northern Arizona University. She married James "Butch" Johnson in 1965 and they lived in various locations with Butch working as a cowboy. They lived for several years in Williams, Arizona but primarily spent most of their lives in the Wickenburg-Aguila area. Diane was an avid gardener and could grow just about anything. She enjoyed raising her chickens and was a good fisherman. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints. Butch was born November 17, 1943 in Cody, Wyoming. He passed away the morning of March 21, 2011 in Sun City, Arizona just days after they passing of his wife Diane. Butch was born and raised in Wyoming and began working as a cowboy at any early age and was able to do this most of his life which was what he enjoyed. While he and Diane lived in Williams, Az. he had worked as a police officer for a time but always a cowboy at heart. They were preceded in death by a grandson James Lloyd Hammond in 1991. Butch and Diane are survived by Children: Tuffy Johnson of Flagstaff, Nancy Hammond of Aguila, Quinton Johnson of Flagstaff, Brenda Johnson of Congress, Jack Johnson of Congress and Sherman Johnson. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Wayne, Scott and Brandon Johnson, Michael & Crystal Hammond, Kelly, Jacob and Jennifer Johnson and one great-grandchild, Natalie Mae Hammond. Combined funeral services were held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 21st at Wickenburg Funeral Home.
