Jason Donald DeWayne Grisson, age 33, passed away suddenly on December 9, 2011 in Morristown, Arizona. Jason was born September 7, 1978 in Flint, Michigan to Robert Grissom and Jan Strudgeon-Grissom. He was raised in Burton, MI and attended Bentley Schools and later attended Michigan State University. Jason enlisted in the Marines serving in various locations within the states and Okinawa, Japan. While serving in the Marine Corp Sgt. Grissom was an Information Systems Specialist as well as a Defense Message Systems Specialist in which he was Microsoft certified. He was an expert marksman and a member of the Expert Shooting Team. Following his military service he returned to Flint, Michigan where he began working in the construction trade. Jason moved to Arizona in 2005 also working in construction operating heavy equipment and surveying. Jason found Christ and was baptized in 2010 and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Wickenburg. Jason loved being with family & friends and also enjoyed the outdoors, cutting wood, traveling, camping, mechanics and carpentry. Jas was a "jack of all trades and a master of most". He loved his animals and enjoyed off-roading. Jason was preceded in death by his father, Robert Grissom in 1987 and grandparents Donald & Norma Strudgeon in 2009. He is survived by his mother, Jan Strudgeon-Grissom of Wickenburg and bestest Aunt Jill & uncle David McQueen of Au Gres, Michigan and companion Tabatha Bundesen and her daughter Chrystal Bundesen of Morristown, grandmother Iris Middleton and Lutz of Utah, Step-mother Sheri Harvey of Lapeer, Michigan, sister Samantha (Brandon) Chapman, step-father Russell Daniels of Goetzville, Michigan, step-brothers: Adam, Derrek & Jason Daniels, and special aunt Alberta LaRiviere and companion Coleman Woods. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jason's honor to the Wickenburg Humane Society, Hospice of the Valley or the charity of your choice. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 17th at 11:00 AM at Wickenburg Funeral Home.
