Jim Green

September 24, 1938 — January 27, 2011

James W. "Jim" Green was born September 24, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri to James W. Green and Xilon Rae Brammer Green. He was raised there and attended schools there following high school he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in Korea. Upon completion of his military service Jim returned to California where he began working as a deputy sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. He Moved to Phoenix, AZ. where he opened an Aerospace manufacturing business. He met and Married Leona Green and had a daughter, Chrystal Apollo Green Chiazzese. He later moved back to Kansas City where he met and married Lois and worked in Construction as a steel worker. He moved back to Arizona in 1978 settling in the Glendale area. He worked in sales for a time and established "The Green Machine" a custom uniform shop which he and Lois worked together for years. Jim eventually returned to working construction until he was injured in 1989 when he retired for health reasons. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed video games. Jim was preceded in death by a son Wayne Pelto in 2004 and is survived by his wife Lois of Wittmann and son John Pelto of Wittmann, daughter Cathy Stacey (Joe) of Phoenix, sons Thomas Green (Annette) of Phoenix and Todd Green (Tina) of Wittmann, 11 grandhchildren: Jason, Jeff, Justin, Jon Pelto, Justin and Joshua Cruz, Michael, Danny & Karla Yoshida, Jacob Pelto and Ashley Green and 8 great-grandchildren. Family services will be held at a later date.
