Johnnie Allen Dalton, age 80, passed away May 19, 2018 at his home in Congress, AZ surrounded by his family. He was born April 30, 1938 in Washburn, Missouri to Emin & Mattie Dalton. Following his schooling he began working in the oil fields in Oklahoma and later moved to Northern California where he began working as a cowboy for a brief time and later in the Lumber Industry. He worked his way up the ladder and had been working as an electrician before retiring in 1998. Johnnie and wife Dorothy then came to Arizona settling in Congress and Johnnie again began working in maintenance for Merv Griffin's Wickenburg Inn and Dude Ranch, where he worked until the sale of the Ranch. He was always a "Jack of All Trades" and could just about fix anything. Johnnie was very mechanically inclined and loved cars, motorcycles and anything with a motor. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping with family & friends. He was preceded in death by son David Dalton in 2017 and his parents as well as 11 brothers & sisters. Johnnie is survived by his wife Dorothy of Congress, Children: Betsy Anne (Kirk) Gordon of Montana, Shelah Dalton ( Chuck) of Washington, Michael Allen (Holly) Dalton of Congress, Robert Eugene (Jude) Dalton of Congress and John Boy (Christine) Dalton of Morenci, Az and a sister Roberta "Robbie" Waldrip of Congress as well as numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
