Joseph B. Shaw, age 78, passed away August 7, 2012 in Glendale, Arizona. Joe was born November 18, 1933 in Seattle, Washington to John F. Shaw and Ruth Foster Shaw. He was raised in Seattle and attended schools there. He later enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his military service he returned home and worked in several fields even commercial fishing and later owned and operated a printing company in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He moved to Wickenburg in !997. Joe was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a very talented craftsman and woodturner having been juried by the Wickenburg Art Club as well as the Wickenburg Art Alliance. Joe was recognized and has sold many of his art pieces over the years. He enjoyed camping and motorcycle and was a licensed pilot. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Morristown, sons Joseph B. ( Lori) Shaw of Portland, Oregon, Gordon P. (Kami) Shaw of Woodenville, Washington, Gil (Diane) Shaw of Oakland, California. and grandchildren: Trevor, Leon, Kevin and Alex. He was preceded in death by brother John F. Shaw in 2011. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church. Honorary donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg.
