Klor M. Rowland was born January 23, 1926 in Lima, Ohio to Thomas E. Rowland and Golda Hite Rowland. He was raised in Lima and attended schools there. He later recieved a degree and specialized in Heavy Equipment Repair & Maintenance. He had worked in the oil fields in Texas as a young man and came to Arizona in 1940 settling first in the Phoenix area. He met Bonnie Pence and they were married shortly thereafter on February 19, 1954 in Salome, Az. They traveled and worked together, Klor was involved in horse racing and also raced midget cars and had won a state title in the Midget Division in 1947. They retired to the Wittmann area in 1972 and have lived there since. Klor enjoyed music and played the banjo as well as the guitar. He is survived by his wife Bonnie and children: Roseanna Hitchcock, Cherie Lynn Carpenter, Dana Thomas Rowland, Mark Anthony Rowland, Bonnie Louise and Klor M. Rowland,Jr. and a sister Inez Dickson and 15 grandchilden and 6 great grandchildren.
