Lloyd W. Hothem 1915 - 2010 Lloyd was born July 3, 1915 in Newcomerstown, Ohio. He was raised there growing up on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and in 1944 married Mildred Thomas and they made their home in Orrville, Ohio. Following Lloyd's service in the military he returned home and began working at Ford dealerships in the parts dept. In 1957 they moved to Arizona settling in Phoenix briefly where he worked for Sanderson Ford later moving to Safford where he worked at Hal Shorb Ford. Lloyd came to Wickenburg in 1961 where he worked as parts manager at the Ford dealership for years. He also worked with the Wickenburg School District and later the Arizona Highway Dept. which he retired from in 1980. Lloyd was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Elks Lodge and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as an usher for years. He also received the "Senior Service Award" from the Presbytery of the Grand Canyon. Lloyd loved the Arizona desert and enjoyed four-wheeling and camping. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred in 1995 and a brother Verl Hothem and sisters Opal Mizer and Katherine Carr. He is survived by sons Terry Hothem (Sally) of Phoenix and Richard Hothem (Nancy) of Chino Valley, AZ. and special friend Grace Reiner of Wickenburg, grandchildren: Erich Hothem and Stacey Reeves of Phoenix, David Hothem of Tampa, Fl., Dawna Nihart of Jacksonville, Fl. And great-grandchildren: Ariah Reeves, Jayton & Justin Nihart
