Loyd Junior Potter, age 72, passed away August 6, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona. Loyd was born August 27, 1942 in Manila, Arkansas to J.L. and Mary Potter. Loyd and his mom Mary moved to Phoenix when he was just a young boy and was raised his mom and her parents Ruby and Curtis Weaks. Loyd began working as a steel worker and he later worked as a dairy farmer where they moved to Yarnell with Parker Dairy for over 28 years. He and wife Doris lived in Yarnell and lost their home in the Yarnell fire 2013 and they then moved to Wickenburg. Loyd was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved watching sports football, basketball, baseball and his all time favorite wrestling. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Love in 2002 and a brother Robert J. Love in 2010. Loyd is survived by his wife Doris of Wickenburg, step-father Bob Love of Chandler, AZ, & sister Diane Love of Chandler, AZ. Children: Roger Potter of Texas, Chris Potter of Wisconsin, Paula (Glenn) Wissing of Chandler, AZ, & Leland (Amanda) Potter of Phoenix, AZ, Stepchildren: Dorothy Cleaver of Coolidge, Az, Teresa (Doug) Kalinski of Mesa, Az, & Floyd Dan Cleaver of Casa Grande, AZ. Grandchildren: Jeff, Megan, Ashleigh & Emily. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 22nd at Yarnell Community Presbyterian Church 16455 Table Top Way, Yarnell, Arizona 85362 at 2:00pm with a reception following. An additional service will also be held in Mesa Saturday, August 29 in the chapel at Central Christian Church Mesa Campus 933 N. Lindsay Rd., Mesa 85213 at 10:00am with a reception following.
