Mary Lou Dore, age 85, passed away January 28, 2013 at home in Wickenburg, Arizona. She was born June 21, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Andrew Valadez and Ann Golub Valadez. She attended schools there graduating from the St. John's Academy. She later married Gordon James "Chuck" Dore in 1951. They made their home in Wisconsin and began their family eventually moving to California in the early 1960's settling in Glendora. Mary Lou worked as a bi-lingual teacher in the school system there. After retiring she and Chuck moved to Arizona making their home here in Wickenburg. She was an active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Mary Lou was a avid reader and enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife, especially the quail. She had a "Heart of Gold" and will forever be our Angel. She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck in 2003 and a son Glenn in 1989 as well as 3 sisters and 2 brothers.. Mary Lou is survived by her children: Greg Dore of Prescott and Garry Dore of Wickenburg and a sister Mary Catherine Coon of Wisconsin. Grandchildren: Devin Dore, Dawn Matthews, Gordon Dore, and Gina Dore and great-grandchildren: Morgan & Mave Matthews and Adrian & Aiden Dore. Memorial services were held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at St. Alban's Episcopal Church with inurnment following in the St. Alban's Columbarium.
