Nancy Coleen Carter was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. Nancy passed away on October 16th, 2021 at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her memory and spirit by living life to the fullest. Nancy was born to Tom and Sandy Byrne on March 21st, 1959. She completed nursing school in 1985 and later graduated PA school from the University of North Dakota fulfilling her passion to serve others. Through her work and love for others, she became a pillar in the community of Wickenburg. She was a follower of Jesus Christ and had a personality and laugh (snort) that could light up a room.
Nancy met Mel in 1996, the love of her life, who had two sons from a previous marriage. As a team, they raised their three children, Nancy's daughter Bree from her previous marriage, and Mel's sons Travis and Craig. Nancy and Mel were inseparable, traveling the world together and creating unforgettable memories. Perhaps Nancy's greatest joys, though, were the simple things: family gatherings around the dining room table where she enjoyed playing games and laughing hysterically with the ones she loved.
She is survived by her husband Mel; a daughter, Bree; two sons, Travis and Craig; grandchildren Teraya, Avery, and Landon; a brother, Dave; a sister Connie and her parents, Tom, Kathy, Jerry, and Sandy. A Memorial service will be held on November 20th at 11:00 AM at the Del Webb Center.
The family suggest memorial contributions in Nancy's memory be made to Calvary Baptist Church 930 N. Tegner St. Wickenburg, AZ 85390 or to your Favorite Charity.
