It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Raymundo Hernandez Estrada, fondly known as "Mundo". Born on October 31, 1965, in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico, Raymundo had a knack for lighting up every room he entered with his spirited and funny personality. His enchanting laughter, infectious humor, and heartwarming company were a source of joy to those who knew him. As the great Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Raymundo's unique charm and affable nature left an indelible imprint on the hearts of many.
Raymundo was a reliable and talented Diagnostic Technician, who dedicated over 35 years of his life to the profession before retiring from Freeport McMoran Bagdad AZ in 2023. His strong work ethic was second only to the love he held for his family. Raymundo's passions extended beyond his professional life. He was an avid fisherman, a Harley rider, and a lover of dance. His zest for life was evident in the way he enjoyed every moment, whether he was tinkering on a project, striking up conversations with strangers, or spending quality time with his loved ones.
Raymundo leaves behind a rich legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Estrada, his son David Estrada and daughter in law Shaylynn Nichols, his daughter Kassondra Estrada, and his cherished grandchildren, Vivian Nelson and Kaden Estrada. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymundo and Maria Estrada, and son-in-law Gavin Nelson. To quote Albert Schweitzer, "The only thing of importance, when we depart, will be the traces of love we have left behind." And indeed, Raymundo's love continues to resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 5-8pm at Wickenburg Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10am at St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 232 N Tenger St, Wickenburg, followed by a Committal Graveside service at 12pm at Peeples Valley Cemetery, 18275 State Hwy 89, Peeples Valley. We encourage everyone to share their favorite memories of Raymundo and upload photos to the memorial page as a way to celebrate his life and keep his spirit alive.
