Robert Dean

Robert William Dean was born May 20, 1942 in Gallup, New Mexico to William Clell Dean and Margie Hawkins Dean. He was raised in Flagstaff and Yuma and graduated from high school in Yuma. Bob studied engineering briefly and then began a career as a Plumber-Pipefitter. He was a member of the Union Local #469. Bob married Sheri Phyburn and they had two children, Shani and Robert. He had worked in the construction of various power plants including Palo Verde Nuclear Plant and the SG Thompson plant for manufacturing computer chips. He had lived in Prescott from 1984 until 1996 when he married Phyllis Frost and they made their home in Peeples Valley. Bob loved country western music and played the harmonica as well as the blues harp in a band. He also loved to dance and enjoyed motorcycle riding. He was a member of the local "Spam Jammers' Band and enjoyed people. Bob was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Dean, who raised him and brother Tom Dean. He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Peeples Valley and daughter Shani Dean of Tucson and Dr. Robert Dean (Kay) of Tucson. Step-children: Randy Frost (Kathy) of Mesa, Jamie Estrella of Glendale, Jennifer Swanson (Carl) of Omaha, NE., Jeri Leigh Frost of Phoenix, Jordan Frost (Angela) of Omaha, NE., sister Patricia Brittall of Mesa, sister-in-law Kay Esther Dean of Walnut Grove, AZ., Grandchildren: Chalyn, Christina, Catherine, Ella, Blake, and Gavin. Step-Grandchildren: Justin, Carrie, Monica, Lucy, Natalie, Jenna, Austin, Matthew, Blake, Johnathan, and Jake, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and his dog Shiloh. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Bible Church in Yarnell. Friends may send flowers to Wickenburg Funeral Home for the services.
