It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Villarreal, born in 1967, who departed this life on the 7th of March, 2023. Robert, was a man whose life was characterized by his loving, and generous, strong and driven, determined nature. His passing has left a void that cannot be filled. He is deeply loved and missed by all who knew him and had the privilege to share in his life.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Meghann Villarreal; his cherished sons, Maximus Villarreal and Robert De Luna; his adored daughter, Brianne De Luna; and much loved step-daughter, Ryleigh Talsky. He is also survived by his caring siblings, Danny Mesa, Linda Trivino, Manuel Villarreal, and Steven Villarreal. Robert was a man who cared deeply about helping others. He was always going out of his way to do anything he could for anyone in need. He loved spending time outdoors, working on cars, golfing, graphic arts and was quite good playing chess.
Robert came to believe that what truly mattered in life was to spend as much time as possible creating beautiful memories with the ones we love most. He wrote in a speech once that it was "In those memories and the ones I made them with, In them I'll live on." He also shared the valuable lesson that one "can always make more money, but you can never make more time." He truly lived this lesson, prioritizing time with loved ones and always making the most of each precious moment.
In his professional life, Robert made significant contributions, including being awarded Businessman of the Year and serving as a member of the Congressional Small Business Committee. Later in life he worked at Wenden Domestic Water Improvement District earning 3 licenses, expanding his skill set and doing something that people needed. Even with his many achievements in his professional career, Robert considered one of his greatest accomplishments to be the birth of his son in 2022.
Robert's legacy is one of humor, generosity, and an unfailing determination that never saw him give up on anything, inspiring all those around him to strive for the same. He was an incredible husband, loving father, generous brother, and genuine friend. The man that he was will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
