Roy A. Ogden, age 68, passed away September 30, 2011 in Peoria, Arizona. He was born May 3, 1943 in Wichita, Kansas to Alfred Ogden and Thelma Parks Ogden. He was raised in Blythe, California and attended schools there graduating from Palo Verde High School Class of 1961. He married Mary Ann Vertrees July 21, 1962 and they made their home in Blythe. Roy was a member of the Blythe JayCees and active in the Blythe River Cruise and a member of the Blythe Jeep Club. Roy worked in the family buisness A.F. Ogden Distributors until 1973 when he and Mary Ann moved to Phoenix. They later moved to Camp Verde in 1986 where Roy worked construction until retiring in 2007 and moving to Peeples Valley. Roy enjoyed to outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Peeples Valley, daughter Melinda Ogden and son Michael Ogden both of Phoenix. The family suggests memorial contributions in Roy's memory be made to Hospice of Arizona or the Barrows Neurological Institute.
