Ruby Dawson

Ruby went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2010. She was 97 years young. Ruby Irene Dawson was born in Bentonville, Indiana January 9, 1913 to Claude James Kemmer and Myrtle Jennie Hall Kemmer. In 1954 she and two of her four boys moved to Wickenburg to be near her cousin. Ruby was a cook for the Monte Vista Guest Ranch as well as the Wickenburg Community Hospital. She was also very involved with the Easter Star and the Wickenburg Country Club. Ruby was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Dawson in 2001. Ruby is survived by her four sons: Max C. Petersen (Chris) of Noblesville, Indiana, Howard C. Petersen of Livingston, TN., Donald L. Petersen (Virginia) of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Paul D. Petersen (Della) of Wickenburg, AZ., 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. Memorial services will be held on June 24th at 11:00 AM at the First Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg.
