Timothy Savage

Former Wickenburg resident, Timothy R. Savage, age 66, went Home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 28, 2013 in Prescott, Arizona. He was born February 18, 1947 in Wickenburg, Arizona. Tim was the son of Richard and Janice Savage. His father was the former Chief of Police of Wickenburg for more than 25 years. Tim was raised in Wickenburg and graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1965. He joined the U.S. Air Force in April 1966 and served in Vietnam. After returning from Vietnam, he married the "love of his life", Dodie, on November 12, 1968. Following his military service he returned home to the town he was born and raised in. He worked for the Town of Wickenburg for many years and loved this community. Wickenburg was always home for Tim and Dodie, although they resided in Alexandria, LA and most recently, Chino Valley, AZ. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Docia "Dodie" Savage in 2005 and his twin sister, Linda Edwards in 2005. He is survived by daughter Sharon, son-in-law Tom, grandsons Jordan (Jessica) and Logan and great grandsons Kevan and Kolt Pollei; son Richard, daughter-in-law Jena and granddaughters Rilyn and Baeli Savage, all of Wickenburg; sister Marilyn (Mark) Gabbard of Wittmann. Tim was kind hearted, dedicated and hard working. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He loved his family and was so proud to be a grandfather and great grandfather. He had a love for Dalmatians and owned several throughout his life - the most recent is Gracie, his best friend. Tim's passing followed a 9 month battle with cancer. He was strong and courageous and now is finally Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at First Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg with interment and military honors to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
