Virginia Snapp passed away at home on April 30, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born August 7, 1928 in Doniphan, Missouri to Raymond Lewis and Lydia Day Lewis. She was raised there until her teenage years when she moved to Southern California settling in the Bell Gardens area. Following her schooling she married Ernest Copp in 1945 and they began a family with the birth of Karen and later Dennis and Dan. She later in life married John Snapp and they made their home in Polson, Montana. They began wintering in Wickenburg, AZ in 1991. She was preceded in death by John in 2004 and shortly thereafter moved to Wickenburg permanently. Virginia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg and for the last serveral years had the opportunity to travel extensively around the country on a motorcycle with her friend Fred Pfeil. She was also preceded in death by a brother William Lewis and a sister Zelda Lewis. Virginia is survived by children: Karen Ayres of Chino, CA, Dennis Copp (Linda) of La Habra, CA, Dan Copp (Carolyn) of Anaheim, CA, Special Friend Fred Pfeil of Wickenburg, Grandchildren: Heather O'Neill, Jason Ayres (Courtney), Hiliary Virgil (Robert), John Copp, Zeke Copp (Yolanda), Ryan Copp (Andrea), Trevor Copp (Sandra), Rachel Gardea (Tony) Nicholas Higgins (Nicki) Great-grandchildren: Shannon, Tatum, Tyler O'Neill, Hailey & Samantha Copp, Calista Copp, Loralei, Hollis Copp, Kendyl, Jakob & Wyatt Copp, Alex & Shane Gardea, Nicholas Higgins, Griffin & Malcolm Ayres. Memorial Services will be held on May 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg. The family suggests memorial contributions in Virginia's memory be made to Habitat for Humanity or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
