Virginia Therkildsen

Virginia E. Therkildsen, age 90, passed away September 12, 2013 at her home in Morristown. Virginia was born December 12, 1922 in Fairchance, Pennsylvania to Webster & Jenny Teets. She was raised and attended schools in the area and later moved to Ohio settling in Newbury where she owned and operated a restaurant for many years. Virginia moved to Arizona in 1985 settling in Morristown. She was always active and began working at McDonald's Restaurant in Wickenburg where she worked nearly 20 years. Virginia enjoyed working and enjoyed people. She was one who always did for others. She was preceded in death by husband John Therkildsen and survived by her children: Nora Douglass and Janet Nicholas both of Newbury, Ohio, Robert and William Eland both of Morristown, Arizona and Edward Eland of Rome, Ohio, Raymond Eland of Sanford, Florida, step-children: Lynn Therkildsen of Phoenix, Az, and Turk Therkildsen of Bloomington, Indian, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She will be interred in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona with her husband John.
