Wendy Fostiak-Amos passed away on October 9, 2021 in Sun City West, Arizona. Wendy was born July 2, 1952 in Builth Wells, Breconshire, Wales in Great Britain to Dionizy and Violet Fostiak. The family moved to Chicago, Illinois in the mid-1960's where Wendy attended schools. She went to college, earning a Science degree and eventually began working at Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company as a project manager. In 1985 Wendy's parents purchased a half interest in some property that her uncle owned in Youngtown, Arizona. They eventually moved there. After visiting in Arizona, Wendy liked Yarnell and moved there in 2001. She bought property along the highway where Rosewind once stood. In 2002 Robert Amos (known by his stage name Buford) came to Yarnell. He had worked as a stuntman and performed in live western shows in Las Vegas and Reno. Rob leased the Buzzard's Roost Restaurant the Wendy frequented and they become acquainted and started dating. Wendy started working a the restaurant and eventually managing it. They were engaged for a year and later married on September 16, 2003. Just prior to their marriage Wendy finalized her quest to become a Citizen of the United States. Wendy's parents eventually moved to Yarnell and she was preceded in death by her father in 2012 and her mother in 2017. Wendy loved the community and contributed greatly to it. She will dearly be missed. She is survived by her husband Rob and her nephew Oleh Fostiak of Tucson and her favorite tabby, Tom-tom and many friends.
