William Richards

William M. "Bill" Richards was born December 6, 1934 in Mt. Vernon, Washington to Maurice and Elaine Richards. He attended schools at Burlington, Washington where he enjoyed playing many sports. Bill married Geraldine Fox February 24, 1956 in Clear Lake, Washington. He was employed 25 years with the Washington State Patrol retiring in 1992. Bill and Gerry came to Arizona 12 years ago settling in Congress. He is a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geraldine "Gerry" Richards of Congress, son Kenneth Richards (Sue) of Perth, Australia, daughter Teresa Macke (Steve) of Yakima, Washington. Sisters, Joan Sickler (George) of Wisconsin, Roberta Symonds (Duane) of Washington, brothers: Jack Richards of California, Dick Richards (Lee) of Minnesota, John Richards (Colleen) of Washington, David Richards (Ida) of Washington, and grandson Derek Wilks. He was preceded in death by his sister Anita. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg. The Family suggests memorial contributions in Bill's name be made to Child Evanglelism or to Gideon Bibles.
