Wilma O'Daniel

Wilma "Bea" O'Daniel, age 88, passed away March 15, 2012 in Sun City, Arizona. She was born September 18, 1923 in Keokuk, Iowa to Lawrence Leo Riter and Laura Redden Riter. She met James O'Daniel in 1943 while he was working for her uncle and on December 25, 1943 they were married in Keokuk making their home there briefly before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. She and James moved to Phoenix in 1958. Wilma had worked as a bookkeeper and an adminstrative assistant. They moved to Wenden in 1979 and opened Jim & Bea's Bait and tackle shop on Lake Alamo Road. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O'Daniel in 1987 and son, Leroy O'Daniel in 2007. Bea is survived by her son Larry O'Daniel of Wenden and sisters Maxine Loring of Keokuk, Iowa and Joyce (Steve) Grout of Springhill, Florida and a grandson, Stephen O'Daniel of Wenden. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Wenden Cemetery.
